Road Racing

Finely Tuned Ride can supply mechanic/race support when road racing and even team/club training camps.

If you are an individual, competing in road racing or a team manager of a road team and would like a cost effective way to have a race mechanic to support you or your team riders during road races, FTR can provide that support. For more info drop us a line to see what we can do for you.

Finely Tuned Ride supported Welsh cycling in 2013, who sent male and female junior squads to some stage races throughout the year in the UK and abroad.

Past Support

Cyclo-cross

In the past we have supported cyclo-cross rider Oli Beckingsale, winner of the cyclo-cross National Trophy series in 2012/13.

Downhill Racing

Finely Tuned Ride supplied a team mechanic to the Madison Saracen downhill team for the first round of the 2012 UCI World Cup circuit at Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. The team had a good result with 2011 Junior world champion Manon Carpenter, finishing in 2nd place in her first the senior category race.

The Team was riding the Saracen Myst Team bike equipped with Fox forks and shock, Shimano Saint groupset, Kore finishing kit and DT spokes and rims.

Endurance Racing

Finely Tuned Ride was at the 24 and 12 Hour European & UK 24 hour solo championship in 2013. Supporting Michael McCutcheon in 24 hour and Chris Noble in 12 Hour.  Michael got 2nd and Chris got 6th. A very good but tiring weekend.

FTR was proud to help support Mark Spratt in retaining his 24 hour European & UK 24 hour solo championship title held at Rock UK, Newcastleton on 7th and 8th of April 2012. Not only did Mark win the European and UK 24 hour veteran class but would have been 2nd overall in the open solo 24 Hours, to the winner Huw Thomas, who was the only two to complete an impressive 20 laps of the 11 mile course.

Marks write up/blog entry about retaining his title is here.

MTB Cross Country Racing

If you are an individual MTB cross country rider or team manager of a MTB cross country team and would like cost effective way to have a race mechanic to support you or your team riders during races FTR can provide that support. For more info drop us a line to see what we can do for you.

Emma will be competing in the Elite Female category for the second year in a row, piloting her trusty Cotic Soda Hardtail at the British Cross Country series and Southern XC regional series races, the British National XC Championship race as well as participating in a number of team events.

In 2011, FTR provided mechanical support to the Torq Performance Mountain Bike team. The team comprised of a mix of riders, from XC to solo endurance and 24 hour riders aiming to reach their personal goals. These riders came together to form teams/pairs to defend the many team endurance event titles that Torq attained during the previous year. The team rode on the Kona Watt frameset during 2011.

TORQ riders went on to win/podium in Exposure 12 solo, Twentyfour12 and TORQ in your sleep.

FTR also provided their neutral mechanic service for a round of the Midlands XC regional series as well as Twentyfour12.

On the road, support was provided at the Ludgershall Road Criterium, winter and summer series races.
